Privacy policy

This policy covers semaphorepartners.com, run by Semaphore Partners LLC in Florham Park, New Jersey. It describes what we collect when you visit or write to us, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what you type into our two forms, we use cookieless analytics plus business visitor identification (off in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), and we do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

What we collect

Contact form. Name, email address, company, and your message. We use these to answer you and, if you become a client or prospect, to keep a record of the conversation in our customer relationship system.

Job applications. Name, email address, the role you applied for, an optional LinkedIn URL, your answer to "why Semaphore", and your resume. We use these to evaluate your application and to contact you about it. Applications are kept in our applicant tracking system for up to two years so we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Site analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track visitors across sites. It reports aggregate page views, referrers, and performance timings. It does not identify you.

Where you came from. When you arrive, your browser notes the site that linked you here (its name only, not the full address), the first page you landed on, and any campaign tags on the link. This stays in your browser for that tab and is not sent anywhere unless you submit the contact or job application form, when it is sent along with it so we know which of our channels reached you. It sets no cookie and disappears when you close the tab.

Visitor identification. We also load three business-to-business visitor identification services through Google Tag Manager: RB2B, Vector, and Factors.ai. They set cookies and use data they already hold (such as your IP address and identifiers matched by their partners) to work out which company a visit came from and, for some visitors in the United States, who the visitor is. We use this to see which organizations read our site and to follow up with people who look like a fit for our work. It is not used for advertising. These services do not run for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, or for any browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal. To opt out anywhere else, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, block third-party cookies, or email us at the address below.

Abuse protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile may process technical signals about your browser and connection for that purpose only. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Preferences. Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device. The site itself sets no cookies; the visitor identification services above set theirs.

How submissions are handled

This website stores nothing you submit. Each form submission is checked and forwarded, over an authenticated connection, to systems we run for intake: our customer relationship system for contact messages and our applicant tracking system for applications. Resumes are stored there, not on the website. Submissions also trigger an internal notification to the partners and a confirmation email to you.

Our hosting and edge provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and operations under its own retention policy.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not show advertising or use your data to target it, here or anywhere else.
• We do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it.

Who we share it with

Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, only as needed to run the site and respond to you: Cloudflare (hosting, analytics, abuse protection), Google Tag Manager, the visitor identification services named above, our CRM and applicant tracking providers, our email provider for confirmations, and Slack for internal alerts. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Your choices

Email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. For job applications, write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. Residents of jurisdictions with specific privacy rights (including the EU, UK, and California) can exercise those rights through the same addresses.

Third-party links

The site links to other sites, including our blog, Relay, and tools we publish under Labs. Their privacy practices are their own.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle submissions will be noted here.
